CyOptique™ GL

CyOptique™ GL (Glaucoma) is an Optic Nerve Head (ONH) Planimetry Software used to enhance assessment capabilities of ophthalmologic studies and to provide a platform for Ophthalmologist for decision support and consistent interpretation of results and assist quick evaluation of glaucomatous conditions.

CyOptique™ GL processes ONH digital images of a patient to automatically draw contours to mark the optic disc and cup. The software provides clinicians tools to modify the automated drawings if so desired. Various measurements such as area of the disc, cup, rim and cup-disc ratio are calculated from the contours generated by CyOptique. Drawings made out by the clinician are 'versioned' and stored in the database along with the clinician's ID. There is provision to print the images and drawings and include them in reports.

Glaucoma

Glaucoma is the second leading cause of blindness globally. Most patients have no symptoms of glaucoma. By the time the patient notices visual loss, the damage is advanced. Most blindness due to glaucoma could have been prevented if detected and treated in time. Hence the need to enhance detection capabilities of ophthalmologic studies by using computer aided detection tools built around digital imaging.

Image Gallery

CyOptique™ allows the user to process an identified image for analysis. Image gallery displayed by the system helps specific image study/review from a number of images for a given patient. The image gallery is in fact a display of a number of retinal images (from the image folder) on the screen as thumbnails. Thumbnails of the images can be stored in a database with links to actual image files. Images should conform to standard types – DICOM 3.0 or JPEG or BMP.

CyOptique™ connects to a database system (Microsoft SQL Server) for data storage and retrieval. DICOM header and other relevant clinical information, demographic information should be stored in the database, with links to the image files (the links are stored in the database).

  • The system can generate reports based on the automated analysis of the study for a given patient and also statistics from the patient database. Chart options such as pie, line and bar diagrams are available. A day register is generated based on the patients’ visit on a given day.
